Print Options — Flexo vs Litho Laminate on Corrugated

It produces solid colours and clean typography accurately, but does not achieve the colour graduation and fine detail that offset or digital printing delivers. For most shipping cartons and transit packaging, flexo is sufficient.

Litho laminate printing — full-colour offset or digital print on smooth art paper, laminated to the corrugated substrate — is the specification for e-commerce brands where the outer box is a brand experience as much as a shipping container. Stacking Strength, BCT, and Pallet Configuration

BCT (Box Compression Test) strength is the measure of how much vertical load a corrugated box can sustain before it deforms. It is determined by the flute configuration, board grade, and box dimensions — a larger box of the same board specification has a lower BCT than a smaller one because the side panels span a greater distance. For warehouse stacking applications, we calculate the BCT requirement based on the number of boxes in a stack, the average weight per box, and any pallet-level stacking that occurs in your supply chain.
