B flute (approximately 3 mm total thickness) delivers a good balance of surface quality and compressive strength, and it is the standard specification for e-commerce mailers and printed retail-ready shippers where surface print quality matters. C flute (approximately 4 mm) provides higher compressive strength for products over 5 kg or for boxes that need to stack reliably under warehouse load. Double-wall BC combination (approximately 6–7 mm) is the specification for fragile goods, industrial products, and export cartons where both compressive and burst strength need to be significantly higher than single-wall allows.

It produces solid colours and clean typography accurately, but does not achieve the colour graduation and fine detail that offset or digital printing delivers. Litho laminate printing — full-colour offset or digital print on smooth art paper, laminated to the corrugated substrate — is the specification for e-commerce brands where the outer box is a brand experience as much as a shipping container.
